SOMEWHERE A PLACE FOR US-
Preparing the Way with Rev. Duncan Teague:
The power of “where” we are influences our spirit, our mentality. There is a field of spiritual study called “the theology of place” and yet when you enter a space, wherever it is, you change it by the power of your being. We will take into new spaces the power of who we have become.
THE ART OF GATHERING
Preparing the Way with Rev. Taryn Strauss
How do we meet, and why does it matter? We might feel weird for a while; the awkwardness of emergence from a pandemic may feel lonely and exhausting, and that’s okay. Let us remember and relearn how to come together.
Release expectation, release comfort, release the trappings of habit, welcome the new, mysterious future. Allow your soul to grow into radical welcome and open-hearted wonder at all we have yet to discover. Kick off a worship series readying us for our new spiritual home, Preparing the Way.
On this 7th Principle Sunday, we honor the work of generations of saving and savoring our earth. How do we make a sustainable commitment to this work? How do we honor our passions, our resources, and our joy in our commitment? Together we explore our work for the earth as our great intergenerational contribution.
If you have made it this far, you have come face to face with the fragility of life. What does it mean to survive now with all we have lost? What needs to be resurrected in us so we might connect with the deep faith of life calling us forward?
