Purchase and Sale Agreement

The final version of the Purchase and Sale Agreement (PSA) for the Still Waters property (2650 N. Druid Hills Road) was received from the United Methodist Church on January 11. The UUCA Board of Trustees will discuss and vote on proceeding at their regular meeting on January 23. 


Information Sessions

The following tentative schedule sets out the dates for the various meetings to be held leading up to a congregational vote on the purchase of the property. Watch the Weekly Update and The City for announcement of times and locations.

The intent of the Question & Answer Sessions is to determine what information congregants need in order to make an informed decision about the purchase of Still Waters in order that the information can be provided in the Town Hall meetings.  It is anticipated that design concepts from the architect will not be available at the first two Town Halls (February 11 and 14) but will be included at the Town Halls on February 18 and 21, along with any additional information gathered in response to issues arising in the meetings on February 11 and 14.



The Congregational Meeting to vote on the purchase of the property is tentatively scheduled for February 25, 11:15 am, in the Sanctuary.  If that vote is positive, the Due Diligence period will run from February 27 to May 28.


Special Land Use Permit

In addition to the UUCA meetings listed above, a Community Meeting on the Special Land Use Permit (required as part of the DeKalb County SLUP application process) will be held in the UUCA Sanctuary on February 22, 6:00-10:00 pm. The SLUP application is due March 1 for the May 1 meeting of the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners, with a decision date of May 28.



If all the intervening steps are positive (vote of the UUCA Board, vote of the congregation, due diligence findings, SLUP decision by DeKalb County Commissioners), the potential closing date is set for May 30.


Celebration Team Activity

The Celebration Team invites all those interested in participating in the Story Corps UUCA Project to capture congregants’ memories of our building and their hopes for our new location to sign up for interviews on Sunday, January 21 ( or Wednesday, January 24 (
