Our Caring Community – April 18, 2014
The Lay Minister on call for the week beginning April 20 is Charlene Hurt.
Carisa Hettich gave birth to a daughter, Anneliese Claire, on April 8th at Northside Hospital. It was difficult delivery and Carisa was in the hospital for several days. Anneliese and father, Bala Palani, are doing well. Carisa welcomes calls and notes and maybe a visit if you call first.
UUCA member Paula Peace (Moore) has announced that she will be retiring after 38 years as artistic director of the Atlanta Chamber Players. Paula has often enhanced our worship services with her marvelous talent. The City of Atlanta designated April 8 as “Paula Peace Day.”
Former member and Lay Minister Kevin McCulloch has written an article, “The UU Hipster?” published in the Spring 2014 UU World.
Our love and healing thoughts go to Kay Golan, who had knee surgery on April 15, and to Babs Hajdusiewicz, who had wrist surgery on the same day. Cards and e-mails are appreciated.
Our healing thoughts and prayers are with Lucio Chiaraviglio, who is now undergoing rehab at Budd Terrace after suffering a stroke.
