Living Our Mission: Lay Minister Training on Pastoral Care

UUCA continually strives to be a loving community that provides support and care for others. In pursuit of this goal UUCA works towards excellence in pastoral programs through thoughtful trainings and professional program support. On March 25th we had a very successful lay minister training on pastoral care for families with special needs. We were gifted to have the experienced voices of  Marc Crenshaw from the Interfaith Disability Network and Beth Valentine from UUCA’s own accessibility team sharing their extensive knowledge. Lay ministers are an extension of the professional ministry in meeting the pastoral needs of the congregation through programs, small groups, and care outreach.
