Making Life SacredHow do we “make” life sacred? It is a choice. To experience life as sacred does not require a belief in a higher power, but it does necessitate viewing life as an “exquisite masterpiece,” as one of my teachers, Sarah Blondin asserts. I have often lived on “auto-pilot,” allowing life to pass me by without being truly present to its joys and sorrows—only to look back with regret of missed opportunities and the recognition that I am still carrying unresolved anger and sadness. What do we gain by holding life a masterpiece—with all of its colors, harsh brush strokes, and imperfections? What does it require? Join Director of Lifespan Religious Education Laura Beth Brown for this Sunday Service.
