Event Details

Tuesday 5/26 from 7:30-8:30 PM - join us on Zoom for the first in a 4 part series on Happiness.  In this class, you will learn how to pursue sustained rather than ephemeral happiness. Lessons will be based on evidence from the social sciences.
The first session will cover the difference between happiness and a good life.  The remaining classes held on successive Tuesdays, will discuss decisions about money and time; coping with suffering and pain; and why mindfulness and exercise work.
This class will be taught by Dr. Chris Martin, a member of the Adult Religious Education team and a postdoctoral fellow and instructor at Georgia Tech. Since 2016, he has been teaching a college course on the science and philosophy of happiness.
