The popular series So You Want To Talk About Race continues with a program next Tuesday, Dec 15th at 7:30 PM, with The Urgency of IntersectionalityWe will watch and discuss a TED talk by Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw who initially coined this term as a legal concept in anti-discrimination law. We will also learn about the related problem of “interaction effects”, where the whole set of discrimination is greater than the sum of its apparent parts. As always, the class will be repeated on Sunday Dec 20th at 5PM.
