On Tuesday 7/7 from 7:30-8:30 PM join us for Healing our Faith System, a discussion based on systems theory, an interdisciplinary approach to thinking about relationship and interconnectedness. The course will address spiritual growth and how we develop and maintain relationships by using systems theory as a broad framework. Facilitators are UUCA members Leta Woo and Beck Schillizzi. Leta has 10+ years experience as a research scientist in materials science, chemistry, physics, and engineering. She received a B.S. from Georgia Tech and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, both in Materials Science and Engineering, and completed her postdoc at the University of Pennsylvania and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. Beck is our Membership and Social Justice Director, and a passionate Social Worker with varied experience in organizational leadership, social justice transformation, and therapeutic healing. Beck received their B.S. in Women’s and Gender Studies and Religious Studies from the College of Charleston and a Masters in Social Work from UGA.
