Our lay ministers provide pastoral care in the form of hospital and home visits and assist the professional ministry of the congregation in many different facets of congregational life, including leading Wonderful Wednesday Worship. Some of our lay ministers have portfolios beyond their basic responsibilities.

BBegner Barbara Begner serves as Coordinator for the Connectors team.
JClum John Clum serves as Liturgist Coordinator, coordinating and supporting liturgists for worship.
BGaunt Bruce Gaunt is working on coordinating a transportation ministry, to provide rides to Sunday services for those who need them.
KGolan Kay Golan serves on the Adult Religious Exploration team and teaches Adult Education and serves on the Communications team.
CHurt Charlene Hurt oversees UUCA’s archives, assists with the Give Away the Plate program and coordinates the Women’s Reading Group..
RKaye Rebecca Kaye teaches Adult Religious Exploration focused on parents, chairs the Children’s Ministry team and serves on the advisory search team for the Associate Minister of Lifelong Learning and Growth.
BKramer Bill Kramer serves on the Adult Religious Exploration team and teaches Adult Education.
MOakley Mary Ann Oakley serves as the Lead Lay Minister who creates the weekly on-call schedules, communicates the congregational pastoral needs to the lay ministers, the ministers and the congregation. She also teaches Adult Education, and organizes a Card Ministry.
KStevenson Katie Sadler-Stevenson serves on the Adult Religious Exploration team and Children’s Ministry team, and teaches Adult Education.
GSjoquist Ginny Sjoquist coordinates visitations of those who are home-bound or who live in nursing homes and serves on Memorial Garden Ministry Team.
JSpierman Jackie Spierman is helping create a hospitable and energizing UUCA community through her fundraising efforts.
TStringer Tony Stringer is focusing his energies on supporting UUCA’s mission to become more multicultural and antiracist. He’s a member of UUCA’s inclusivity ministry, EnterCulture, and he provides pastoral care support to our Cultural Mosaic group.
NWest Nina West coordinates monthly visitations of those who are home-bound or who live in nursing homes and is involved in Enterculture, UUCA’s diversity ministry.
DWolhart Dayna Wolhart serves on the Adult Religious Exploration team, teaches Adult Education and helps plan special worship services.
