YOUNG RELIGIOUS UNITARIAN UNIVERSALISTS (YRUU) Both the Junior High YRUU and High School YRUU, meet on the first Sunday evening of each month from September-May with additional special events throughout the year. Youth programming includes the "5 components" of education, worship, community-building, leadership development and social action, and promotes youth adult partnerships. The governing body of UUCA is the Youth Adult Team. The Youth/Adult Team - (7th-12th grades) The mission of the Youth Adult Team is to provide oversight of YRUU (Young Religious Unitarian Universalists) programs by setting policies and guidelines, providing and receiving input, and resolving issues. The YAT includes youth representatives from jr high and high school, and adults representing the interests of parents, advisors, and RE teachers and staff. The goals include: - Better communication within the congregation by providing youth representation on council(s) and adult input into youth planning.
- Set policies and provide guidelines for youth activities.
- Expand YRUU participation through outreach to all youth in the congregation, youth greeter program, newsletters, email, and website.
- Improve the "connection" between youth and the congregation.
