Wine, Cheese & The Spoken Word

September 23 – Double Feature

Andy Rhodes — The spoken word this month is “Funny” – brought to you by UUCA’s own stand-up comic Andy Rhodes.  If you enjoy humorous acting with impersonations, accents, and improvisations – and perhaps a touch of political humor – you gotta see Andy.  He first shared his talent with us in an Underground Theater Open Mic session. He returns this time as a featured artist..

Elizabeth Leila L’Abate – Elizabeth may read her poetry in the traditional way, or she may present it with harmonium or tamboura along with shamanic singing in which poetry is chanted and, in many cultures, sung for healing effect.  Her poetry performances are always interesting.

Pre-show starts 7 pm; program runs 7:30-9:30 pm. Open Mic in the middle. Suggested admission donation: $5. PLEASE NOTE: Shows may contain adult content and language. For any questions about this event or the series, contact Carol Welter at welterdelis@gmail.com.
