Democratic Party in Turmoil

 Last week’s election results were definitely good news for Democrats, but they were also bad news for the corporate – friendly, Clintonian wing of the Party.  The victories were largely progressive victories.  The elections showed that where the Party was moving forward, it was in a progressive direction.  This week the Humanist Action Forum will review the morphology of the rift in the Democratic Party and attempt to define the material and ideological differences that stand in the way of  a cordial  reunification.  We will lean on a recent critical essay prepared by a group of California progressives, entitled Autopsy: The Democratic Party in Crisis.
