Coffeehouse to spotlight Youth Musical Talent
Evan Dangerfield is a 17-year-old musician and music producer with over 200 original songs in his repertoire, including music in atmospheric, psychedelic and hip-hop genres. He also scores music for short films and environmental TV segments. Evan grew up with his creativity nurtured by UUCA and two talented parents. He has been playing drums, piano and guitar since he was in elementary school. Evan plans to major in Music Business when he enters college next year. Olivier Poulin is a 20-year-old classical guitarist and piano player who enjoys composing music in a variety of styles. He and Evan Dangerfield teamed up to compose an original score for a short film at Atlanta’s 48 Hour Film Festival this summer. It was nominated for Best Original Score. Olivier attends The University of Georgia where he pursues a Mechanical Engineering degree
A Youth Open Mic will round out the evening. The Open Mic session provides an opportunity for young Atlanta musical talent to show their stuff. Vocalists and instrumentalists 21 years old or younger are invited to participate.
This event will be held in the UUCA Social Hall instead of the Underground Theatre. Doors open 6:45 p.m.; music begins at 7:30. Suggested donation is $10, but no one will be turned away.
