HOW TO JOIN OUR CONGREGATION

Membership is a symbolic and public commitment to UUCA - its mission, its people, and its work in the world. Membership is open to all persons fourteen-years-old and older who are ready to make a commitment to support UUCA with their time, talents, emotional dedication, and a financial pledge.

The first step in the path to membership is to register for an Exploring UUCA class. Newcomers who have already been members of other UU congregations and youth who have completed the Coming of Age program are not required to take the Exploring UUCA class, but are encouraged to do so as it is beneficial in deepening understanding of our roots and history and in forming strong connections to our community.

If you are ready to become a member, you can initiate the joining process by filling out the New Member Form distributed in the Exploring UUCA classes (or for those transferring from another UU congregation, in the Introducing UUCA Q&A sessions on Sunday mornings). You may also pick up a copy in the UUCA office or request an electronic copy by contacting Chance Hunter, Director of Welcome Ministries. After you turn in your completed New Member Form to the UUCA office, you will be contacted by our membership team to schedule your joining date and give you further details. New member joining ceremonies are conducted several times a year during Sunday morning worship.
