UUCA’S WELCOMING CONGREGATION

The UUA Welcoming Congregation program was launched in 1989 by a General Assembly vote to help UU congregations address issues related to homophobia, both within our own congregation and in the wider world. The program centers around workshops, social justice events, and other activities that help people examine their homophobia and develop inclusive attitudes about Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender individuals.

Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta is a Welcoming Congregation and strives to support the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) community within our congregation and in the Metro Atlanta area. Within our congregation, Interweave UUCA is the group focused on social justice and social supports for LGBTQ and their allies.

To learn more about our denomination's support of LGBTQ community, go to the UUA website.
