UUCA'S PEACE NETWORKThe regular meeting of the Peace Network is the third Thursday of the month at 7PM. Everyone is welcome! For more information call Renee Vorbach (770) 491-6817. Third Thursday CINEMA, sponsored by the Peace Network is now in its fourth year of screening key-issue documentary films of the day. To date monthly showings have included such films as "Fahrenheit 911,""Bowling for Columbine," "This Divided State," "Invisible Ballots," "Outfoxed: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism," "Iraq For Sale," "Terror Storm," "Why We fight," "Uncovered: The whole Truth About the Iraq War," and many others. The Peace Network's goal is to provide UUCA members and guests exposure to independently produced films that for the most part do not receive widespread mainstream distribution. Third Thursday Cinema also has a standing policy of providing viewers an option of presenting alternative responses to issue films shown and has extended this offer since its November 2004 first showing. The films shown on Third Thursdays can be borrowed and are available at the Peace Network table on Sunday mornings.
