UUCA'S RELIGIOUS SERVICES MINISTRY TEAM

The Religious Services Ministry Team supports the mission of UUCA as a community of faith that enhances the spiritual and personal growth of members, friends and visitors. Toward that end, the staff and volunteers of the team strive to ensure that Sunday worship services and other special services, as well as our arts presentations, run smoothly.

SUNDAY MORNING TEAMS

• GREETERS- Greeters are assigned to a monthly team, greet people and pass out orders of service as they enter worship, and serve as ushers during worship.
• FLOWERS - Floral arrangements are coordinated for Sunday services.
• LIGHTS/SOUND - Volunteers operate lights and sound, and make recordings of services for UUCA's files.
• MUSIC/CHOIR - Beautiful and varied music enhances Sunday services – with UUCA’s Adult Choir, the Ringers (handbells), Children’s Chalice Choir, the UUCA Quartet, and Professional Guest Artists.
• GIVE AWAY THE PLATE MINISTRY TEAM - Organizes table in Social Hall for recipient of the morning's offering so congregants may meet, greet, and learn about the work of various non-profit groups
  
• OFFICE SUPPORT - Volunteers staff the church office on Sunday mornings to answer the telephone and assist with various inquiries.
• COFFEE - Fair trade, shade grown, organic coffee is purchased with voluntary donations and served in the social hall after each service.

CELEBRATION COMMITTEES

• The L'CHAIM Committee (Jewish Celebrations) conducts special services each year and sponsor occasional activities.
• CHALICE GUILD is responsible for the care of UUCA’s tablecloths and silver that are used during receptions in conjunction with UUCA special services and events.
• Special Services - UUCA's main holiday and special celebrations.
  

ARTS COMMITTEES

• ART GALLERY - UUCA's Art Gallery is the oldest non-profit gallery in Atlanta with monthly exhibits of photography, oils, watercolors, sculpture, and weaving.
• DRAMA - UUCA's Underground Theatre produces two plays each year.

OTHER GROUPS

• UUCA has established a Memorial Garden to scatter and inter the cremains of loved ones.
