UUCA’S COFFEE CREW

As part of our commitment to the UU principles, UUCA serves organic, shade-grown, fair-trade coffee during the social hours. This ensures that farmers in poor countries are paid a fair price for their labor and that our coffee drinking habit helps provide a habitat for birds and helps the environment.

The coffee group consists of volunteers from the congregation who work in teams of three to set up and serve caffeinated and decaf coffee, a variety of teas, and hot chocolate or lemonade (for the kids) after each service. A donation is requested to cover expenses. The group also provides 10 oz. bags of the same coffee (beans or ground) for sale.
