PAT KAHN, DIRECTOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Pat Kahn is a Credentialed Religious Educator in her 9th year as Director of Religious Education at the UU Congregation of Atlanta and also served Northwest UU Congregation for 3 years. She serves on the Midsouth District RE Committee and is the RE liason to the TEACH committee. Pat is also the President of the Southeast LREDA chapter (Liberal Religious Educators Association). In the community, Pat serves on the Advisory Board of the Interfaith Disabilities Network.

 


 


 


 


 


SHERRI A. WISEMAN, BUSINESS MANAGER

Sherri Wiseman Ms. Wiseman began employment in June 2002 and currently serves as Business Manager. Her employment background is in non-profit management. Prior to her employment at UUCA, Sherri was the Executive Director for 2 years of a statewide non-profit organization that provides breast cancer support groups, and education and outreach concerning early detection of breast cancer. She also served for 16 years with Senior Connections, a non-profit aging services provider in DeKalb County, working with the Meals on Wheels Program.

Sherri enjoys spending time with her family especially with her grandson, Vincent.

 


 


 


 


CHANCE HUNTER, DIRECTOR OF WELCOME MINISTRIES

Chance Hunter Chance has been an active member of UUCA since he moved to Atlanta in 2000 after completing seminary at Boston University. A member of UUCA since 2001, Chance helped start the growing 20/30s group, has taught adult and high school RE, and has served on the stewardship committee. He worked for several years as an assistant director of Emory's Center for Ethics and in church staff positions in Oklahoma City and Boston during college and seminary. Chance lives with wife Emily Graham in East Atlanta and is an active part of the Unitarian Universalist blogging community.


 


 

 


 


 


 

TRAVIS VAUGHN, DIRECTOR OF MUSIC, COMPOSER IN RESIDENCE

Travis Vaughn studied piano at an early age, sang with the Atlanta Boy Choir under Fletcher Wolfe, studied organ and counterpoint with Emilie Spivey, put himself through Georgia Tech (BS Applied Mathematics) working as an Organist/Choirmaster, sang with ASO Chorus and ASO Chamber Chorus under Robert Shaw, and has sung with the DeKalb Choral Guild, Choral Guild of Atlanta and Collegium Vocale. When not doing things musical, Travis runs the Money Transfer Service business unit of Global Payments Inc.


 



 


 


 


 


MIKE NDONGALA, SEXTON

Magloire "Mike" Ndongala began as UUCA's Sexton in 2002. Mike works part time in the evenings Monday through Friday and on Saturday to complete grounds maintenance and other duties. He also is currently employed by Georgia Tech where he has received additional training and now is a Certified Electrician I.


 


 

 

JENNIFER TEETER, RELIGIOUS EDUCATION ASSISTANT

Jennifer Teeter Jennifer Teeter is a lifetime Unitarian Universalist. As a youth, she served at the Unitarian Universalist Metro Atlanta North congregation. She has also attended the Southeastern Unitarian Universalist Summer Institute (SUUSI) almost every year of her life. She has served on the SUUSI Board and worked on SUUSI youth staff. Jennifer is currently a college student and enjoys all kinds of art, especially music and the performing arts. She is very excited to be part of the UUCA RE team.
