In Community: Commitment
When you become a part of UUCA, you make a commitment to this congregation – both in who you are, what your values are, and what you hope to see in the world. You also commit to making a difference in the lives of others in this community. Like the interdependent web, this congregation is truly woven together, unable to exist without one another. UUCA’s work of changing lives and changing the world is done by many hands and almost entirely by volunteers. Your time, talent and treasure are invaluable.
As we face change and uncertainty in our world and even within our walls, we must remember that we bind one another together, and that we have a commitment that is larger than ourselves. That’s why, as way to demonstrate our support and appreciation for our volunteers, we have developed our new volunteer resource website – www.uucavolunteers.org. On this site, you’ll find everything that you need to get your questions answered and get your job done. The website includes resources such as communication tools, how to use the City, a list of staff contacts, important policies and procedures, and more!
It’s my hope that this living document will be your go-to, easy to use resource. Being a part of UUCA is an important commitment, and we want to make sure you have all the resources you need to help fulfill that commitment.
Whether you’re making an impact as a member of the Board of Trustees, serving coffee on Sunday mornings, or teaching RE, what you do here changes lives. Your investment in this congregation will be returned to you in abundance. I appreciate all that you do to help make this community the best place to be in Atlanta.
